INTRODUCTION
Definition of mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a technique for stimulating the skin using injections of free hyaluronic acid , vitamins and mineral nutrients.
What are the effects of mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy does not create any additional volume. The free hyaluronic acid is reabsorbed within a few days. However, the free hyaluronic acid promotes the hydration of the skin and stimulates the deeper layers of the skin through the synthesis of elastin, collagen and endogenous hyaluronic acid. Mesotherapy improves the natural thickness and quality of the skin through repeat injections of free hyaluronic acid. Free hyaluronic acid also has an anti-oxidative effect as an anti-free radical action.
Mesotherapy cannot be considered a technique for facial rejuvenation but should be seen as a technique to assist with « ageing well » through maintenance, hydration and regular stimulation of the skin.
How often are mesotherapy sessions required?
You will need repeat injections but the frequency depends on the product used.
What areas could benefit from mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy injections are particularly beneficial for the face, décolletage, hands, and inner arms.
