lipoaspiration – Cannes & Nice | Dr.Victor Médard de Chardon
SCULPT YOUR BODY WITH LIPOSUCTION
Liposuction
(or lipoaspiration or lipoplasty) enables radically and definitively
eliminating excess localized fat.
Two
basic notions must be borne in mind with regard to obtaining a good
result:
1.
It is important to understand that lipoaspiration is not a way to
slim but a technique to sculpt the silhouette by working on localized
excess fat.
2.
The skin must be of good quality.
Indeed, thanks to the natural elasticity of the skin and the fibrosis induced with the insertion of the cannulas, the skin will redrape and tighten. Thus, we understand well that a lipoaspiration in an area of poor skin (fine, stretched, inelastic, ptosic excess caused by slackness) will lead to a mediocre result and should not be carried out. Fatty excesses in poor skin would rather indicate lifting (skin resection) possibly in conjunction with lipoaspiration, abdominoplasty, buttocks lift, bodylifting, arm and thigh lift.
It must be understood that despite recently becoming rather commonplace, lipoaspiration is a true surgical procedure that must be performed by a qualified, competent plastic surgeon, specifically trained in this technique and practising in a true surgical context.
PROCEDURE MODALITIES
Hospitalization: Outpatient
or one night’s hospitalization
Anaesthesia: General
anaesthesia, spinal anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation
(“vigil” anaesthesia)
Duration: Between
30 minutes and 3 hours
PRINCIPLES OF LIPOASPIRATION (LIPOSUCTION)
The scars are very short (a few millimetres) and ideally placed so as to be almost invisible. Aspiration is carried out with the aid of round-tipped, blunt cannulas.
AREAS FOR LIPOSUCtION
LIPOSUCTION FOR WOMEN
LIPOSUCTION FOR MEN
Liposuction is most commonly carried out on the following areas: the neck (double chin), the breasts, belly and love handles.
MODERN LIPOASPIRATION USING VIBROLIPOSUCTION: GENTLE AND SAFE
Dr.
Victor MÉDARD DE CHARDON uses an air vibroliposuction device
(Lipomatic) which enables performing lipoaspiration without forcing
the tissues. The manoeuvre is gentler, more regular and more precise.
In this way, liposuction has become nimbler and more reassuring.
The
emulsion created by the vibration of the tip of the cannula enables
disintegrating the fatty tissue to promote its aspiration at the same
time respecting the surrounding tissues. Post-operative recovery is
also milder and shorter: there is less ecchymosis (bruising), fewer
oedemas, better recovery and a better skin aspect.
NORMAL AFTER EFFECTS
Moderate
pain
Ecchymosis (bruising): 7 to 21 days
Oedema
(swelling): 2 to 3 weeks
LPG and lymphatic drainage
sessions: sometimes carried out as of 3 weeks post-op. (softens
tissues and helps reabsorb oedema)
No stitches to be removed
(dissolving suture below the skin)
Return to activities: on the
3rd
day
Wearing of a Lipopanty: 4 weeks
The wearing of compression
stockings: 8 to 15 days.
First visible results: 3rd
week
In 3 to 6 months, the skin retracts to the new curvature
